Hanakichi can be often found in the Grenada Cartel's entertainment venue where she sings and dances her heart out for a living. Her outwardly bubbly behavior is the first thing you would notice about her, next would be her demanding attitude, fit for a diva. It's easy to see where this attitude came from as she is frequently spoiled by the owner of the venue, Pomelo Jhakroh.
Rumor has it that she had been scouted and hired by Pomelo themselves, but where in Hingashi she came from is a closely guarded secret. However if you ask Hana anything about where she came from she would not hesitate to tell you about her time as an employee of the Gold Saucer. It was a stifling place and she knew that she wasn't going to become the shining star she is destined to be if she stayed there!
Plot Hook
Long ago, there was a village in the Ruby Sea in the midst of a great famine. The people prayed day and night for the kami to intervene but to no avail. One day, a woman harvesting seaweed by the shore came across the broken and twisted body of a fish-like creature. “Come,” it beckoned, “Partake of my flesh and salvation shall be yours.”
Believing the creature to be a kami, she obeyed and shared the heavenly bounty with her family and neighbors as well.
The village elders were horrified when they learned what transpired. They ordered that all who’d partaken in the grisly ritual be exiled. The banished villagers drifted across the Ruby Sea for days, praying for the salvation promised to them. Just as all hope was lost, an island appeared on the horizon. They rejoiced and thanked their patron god for the blessing of a new homeland, naming the island Tokujima: The Isle of Providence.
Today, Tokujima exists as little more than a legend; its people and their rituals shrouded in mystery. The only glimpse an outsider might get is of one of the members of the merchant class, the only villagers permitted to set foot on the “unclean” world beyond their home. They all bear wdistinctly hued horns ranging from pink to deep violet and pale, almost translucent skin. Though their island is of great interest to many scholars, these merchants speak only the words necessary to conduct their business.
Hana is born to the Senyo family, the most influential family on the island and those responsible for carrying out their religious rituals. Her name is actually Nanoha (渚乃羽) Senyo (千代) and is destined to become the next priestess of their shrine.
Tokujima island has been without her for some time now and some fear that a curse will take hold over the island of she does not return soon.
